How can i transport music(itunes music) from my desktop to my laptop?

I thought about a usb drive, will it work. I have an ipod with all my music from my desktop, but its for my iphone and its already been synced with my desktop, but im going to sync it to my laptop, and i want to keep my songs, which i know i cant.

Try copying all the files onto a USB drive and put it onto your laptop, and then onto your laptop's iTunes. Another thing that you could do is hook up both computers to the same network, and then send the audio files through the network from the desktop to the laptop via a public folder. Just copy the songs on your desktop to the 'Public Music' folder in your network on Windows Explorer, and then hop onto the laptop, pull up Window's Explorer (or finder for Macs) and pull the music off of the 'Public Music' folder under your network.

You can transfer all your songs to your laptop (or any other computer) using a USB drive, but you will have to authorize that computer before you can play all of the songs. I believe the maximum authorized computers is 5.
