Why do people play their music so loud in public places?

Why are some people so rude ? I can't stand rap nor do I think I should have to listen to it. What if I played something they couldn't stand really loud, or of they had a baby and I played my music loud? Why can't we all be respectful of one another ?

Its a sad urban mentality. To not care about your neighbors and listen to loud rap music. Sadly now it is in suburbs.

I wouldn't care what others listen to it as long as they kept it to themselves. With rap music, they crank up the bass so that everyone can both hear and feel their music. I don't like being at home and feeling someone's rap music thumping through my house. I think that should be considered noise pollution and people should be fined for it (especially in cars).

Yeah, music is appropriate in places where it's ok to be loud is fine, but every where is just ridiculous and inconsiderate. People who live in apartment complexes like Condominiums where people can easily hear anything loud, blast their music, or near restaurants some people blast their speakers in their car. EVen people wearing head phones listening to their Ipods, have it so loud you can hear it in like the doctor's office, any registration line, yeah it's pretty disrespectful.

  1. I too find it very disprespectful. It's usually males that do it and funnier still is often times it's the (Malibu's Most Wanted) types; the white guys who look silly thinking their down when they'd be someone's bitch in the ghetto or in prison. On top of the fact that women don' even find it apealing. The only one's who might are dumb underagers and or whorish skanks. Perhaps thats all they are hoping to attract when little to their knowledge they are just screaming how lifeless and womanles they are. It's rather pathetic that these disrespectful losers think the people will perceive them in any other light.
